Join Aevitas Law at Aaron’s Acres Resource Fair
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, our team will be at Aaron’s Acres Resource Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 121 Walnut Hill Road, Millersville, PA 17551. This free, family-friendly event brings together local organizations, resources, and services to support families in Lancaster County and surrounding communities. With food trucks, a bounce house, balloon animals, music, face paint, and outdoor games, it’s designed to be a welcoming space for families of children and adults with disabilities to learn and connect while having fun.
Aevitas Law will host a vendor table at the Resource Fair, where attendees can stop by to talk with our team about estate planning and Special Needs Planning services. Our attorney, Drew Reinhold, Esq., will be available to answer general questions and help families begin thinking about how to protect loved ones with special needs for the long term.
What We’re Offering at the Event
At the Aaron’s Acres Resource Fair, our focus will be on Special Needs Planning and Special Needs Trusts. We will have handouts and brochures that explain:
- How estate planning can be tailored for a child, grandchild, or other loved one with a disability.
- What a Special Needs Trust (sometimes called a Supplemental Needs Trust) is and how it fits into a comprehensive estate plan.
- The types of assets that can be placed into a trust, such as cash, investments, larger life insurance policies, and real estate, so they are managed for the beneficiary’s benefit without unintentionally affecting eligibility for certain public benefits.
Visitors can speak with our team, pick up printed resources to take home and schedule a consultation with an attorney to discuss their family’s specific situation in more detail. Our goal is to give families practical options they can use as they consider how to plan for the future.
Planning for Loved Ones with Special Needs
One of the most important concerns for many parents and grandparents is how to leave an inheritance for a loved one with special needs in a way that keeps them supported and protected. Traditional inheritances, even when well-intentioned, can sometimes create unintended consequences if they are not structured carefully. A lump-sum gift or direct inheritance may affect eligibility for certain public benefits or create complexities in managing funds over time. Depending on the type of trust and the family’s circumstances, a properly structured plan may include assets such as cash, investments, life insurance proceeds, and real estate.
For many families in Millersville and Lancaster County, this type of planning is a crucial step in safeguarding both financial stability and ongoing care. Thoughtful, proactive planning with an attorney can help ensure that your wishes are clearly documented and that your loved one has support in place for years to come.
